If you care for an outside dog and live in a hot climate (such as Florida). Always have shade for the dog and a whole lot of water. I try to provide fans and place bowls of ice by the fan to cool the fans air. ALso wet dogs head and mouth area with a cool rag frequently

Brachycephalic dogs, dogs with smooshed in faces or any dog that is easily overheated - we always carry our portable dog water bowl & water bottle so we can stop for water breaks. Also, we've just learned about KoolCollar.com - it's a collar that you keep in the freezer & put on the dog for walks, you can also refill it with ice cubes if needed. We also let the dogs sit or lay in the shade of a tree if they want.
